CHAPTER EIGHT

COSTAS brought more food at nine, but simply shook his head when asked if Kirios Pandrossos had returned. By eleven-thirty Chelsea could find no further excuse to stay up.

Lying sleepless in bed, she found her imagination running riot with regard to what might have happened to Ledra and Stavros. Not that she thought Nikos capable of murder, but neither did she see him showing the two of them much in the way of clemency. There was every possibility that he wouldn’t be prepared to discuss the matter either, which would leave her with a lifelong conjecture.

She dozed off eventually, waking some untold time later when two strong arms slid about her, hauling her close against a broad chest while a pair of wonderfully mobile and passionate lips claimed hers.

Her response was immediate, no thought in her mind of resistance. She felt rather than heard the soft exclamation as she shifted her lower body into closer contact, seeking the hard heat of him with a hunger she couldn’t and didn’t want to control.

He was naked, skin smooth over rippling muscle, body hair stimulating in its wiry texture. Without conscious volition, she sought the proud manhood, thrilling to the pulsing power. He drew in a long, slow breath as she ran supple, exploratory fingers over him, allowing her instincts to surmount her lack of experience in pleasuring a man.

Nikos removed her short nightdress and tossed it aside, pressing kisses down the length of her throat to seek the twin peaks. The touch of his lips and tongue on her tingling flesh was agony and ecstasy rolled into one. She wanted the sensation to go on for ever, yet at the same time knew that it wasn’t enough. What she craved was the merging of her body with his: to be possessed by him in totality.

Her stomach muscles fluttered like a trapped bird’s wings as he moved on slowly down the length of her. His hand parted her trembling thighs, sliding between them to find the moist nub and bring her to the very brink before replacing the hand with mouth and tongue, the two combining to drive her right over the edge.

Still in the grip of that tumultuous explosion, Chelsea was aware of him levering himself upright for a moment. Then he was back over her, the breadth of his shoulders shutting out all but a glimmer of moonlight, eyes dark pools in the tautly etched face. The feel of him as he began a slow incursion was exquisite. She spread her legs further to take him, gasping at the burgeoning pressure. Pain seized her for a moment too fleeting to register with any impact, followed by a wonderful sense of completeness as he filled her.

“Yineka,” he said softly.

She was lost in sheer sensation when he started to move, her whole being centred on that driving force. When she climaxed it was like nothing she had ever imagined even in her wildest dreams-a breathtaking, body-arching transport. As from a great distance, she heard Nikos groan as he too reached the zenith.
